Womens leather gloves are the dictum of fashion. With black leather gloves you are the “thing.” Leather gloves make you a model even when you aren’t. Available in many colors including RED the glove is the pop to the top of fashion. Not everyone has them or even knows if they do (check your pockets!!). Red is indeed a popular color but the palette is wide and can accommodate any outfit or occasion.
As a present, you would never offer anything less. I can buy any glove, hot, cold or ugly. For a present I want leather and I want it to fit. Knit is nice, but for giving or indeed getting, leather is what I want. Leather gloves are surprisingly affordable. They are available in any number of colors and price ranges. They key is to find the quality of leather. A thin skin of leather is just like buying a thin piece of ham. It’s that simple. Thicker leather, more price. Just as in buying a leather jacket; more layers, more price. One would hope that in selecting leather gloves you would be looking for many layers of skin. Not truly expensive. Even a truly good pair of gloves can be had for a budget price.
When buying gloves as a gift it is key is to find out the size. I have a low thumb which makes my hand wide. I wear a size nine. A thumb more in the upper hand would be a size seven. Ask. Knit gloves are not a measure. It’s all in the wideness of the hand when it comes to leather. It does stretch so even a half size guess might work.
Didn’t know there were sizes? Leather is forgiving. It is after all skin. Leather gloves are a great gift because they adjust. Little small or big………not a problem. In fitting a glove it’s all about the span of the palm. Tight or not? Too tight means a too small palm. A lot of wrinkles………..too big. Leather gloves will eventually fit the palm you buy them for. A gift that may work in to be the best thing you’ve ever gotten or given.
Why buy them as a gift? Leather keeps out wind and cold. It was made to do that. Leather adjusts, like skin because it was made to do that also. Given a choice, buy leather. It is ecological and it looks good too. Fashion and politically correct? A match made in heaven!
