Getting in exercise should be a priority in your life, so you should make sure that you sometime find time to make it happen.

Another simple step would be to make simple rules for yourself, such as, no seconds at dinnertime, changing to diet soda, and cutting out sweets. Many people also use water for weight loss. These are changes you can make now, and keep forever. You want to make sure that whatever you do, you are changing it long term, and you cannot have intentions of going back to your old ways after your diet is over or you lose all the weight you wanted.
