With it comes to buying your child one of the many Ben 10 action figures you could probably do with some help, even if you do not know it. With over 12 different varieties to choose from, do you know which ones are worth your hard earned cash? If not, the following check list should point you in the right direction.
- If you are starting your child’s Ben 10 figures collection, you should just concentrate on the 10cm variety. They are the top figures as they are very realistic, well articulated and great value for money.
- Discreetly ask your child which of the Ben 10 aliens are their favourite. You can get almost all of them in the 10cm variety and the most popular in 15cm and Creation Chamber figures. For odd characters like Way Big, you may find your choices more limited.
- Find out whether the character you are looking for is from the original series or the Alien Force sequel. The 10cm Ben 10 Alien Force action figures are better value for money if you have the Ultimate Omnitrix as they include an additional small, translucent figure in each box. This attaches to the watch face to release that alien’s voice.
- If your child has a collection of the popular 10cm figures, take a look at the Creation Chamber figures. These are smaller at only 6.5cm but all the body parts can be dismantled, mixed up with other figures and put back together to create a bizarre, unique, new alien. Children seem very fond of the creativity attached to these figures and also enjoy playing with the Creation Chamber play set that can accompany them.
- For slightly larger figures, the 15cm versions are your next best bet. Not only are they bigger but they also have two special features, be that oozing goo or opening jaws etc. They do cost more so are not quite so popular but are well detailed and articulated so make a good second choice.
- Steer clear of the Planetary Powder and Dissolving Rock sets along with the 30cm aliens are these are the worst of the range.
