How to Get Rid of Excess Hair on Your Arms

If you have a lot of hair on your arms it can be distressing and can put you off wearing short sleeved clothes. However, there are always solutions for arm hair removal and here are three to consider.

1. Consider Bleaching

If the hair is fine you will often achieve a great result by bleaching the hair to make it less noticeable rather than actually removing it. Bleaching will give you a fine golden down rather than noticeable dark hair. You can buy special bleach creams for dealing with unwanted hair. Start with these and if bleaching proves a good solution for you, then you can start to make your own bleaching solution to reduce the cost if you like. You will have to bleach hair regularly as soon as dark roots grow in however arm hair tends to grow quite slowly so it is not something you have to carry out every day or two.

2. Consider Waxing

Waxing is another good solution for dealing with arm hair. It is quite painful during treatment but not unbearably so and the whole process is over and done nice and fast. Following the treatment your arms may be quite red but the redness will reduce and disappear within a few hours and you will be left with nice hair-free arms. The only trouble with waxing is that the wax needs some hair to grip onto to repeat the process. This means that regrowth might be visible before you can get smooth again. Start with professional treatment and if waxing suits you you can try carrying out this process using a waxing kit at home.

3. Consider Laser Hair Removal

Laser hair removal is a great method of removing hair on your arms as it works fast on large areas of the body. You will achieve shedding of hair from the first session and a gradual and permanent reduction in hair growth which is usually enough to make patients very happy that they had the procedure carried out. Laser treatment is really only suitable for those with fair skin and dark hair however as the laser works by targeting the melanin (dark pigment) in hair while the lighter skin remains unaffected (and undamaged) by it.
