Create Easy Babysitting Flyers

If you’re a babysitter, you’ll want to create babysitting flyers to advertise yourself. Fortunately, they can be made quickly and easily from your home computer. First impressions are important so you want to make sure the flyer catches the attention of potential customers. Handwritten, hand-decorated flyers can be cute but you want to come across being as professional as possible. Babysitting is a responsibility that needs to be taken seriously. That means you want potential customers to take your work as a babysitter seriously.

A one page flyer will usually do the trick. Use fun fonts such as “Comic Sans MS” and bright, bold colors. You want customers to get the feel that their children will enjoy spending with you and that it will be a fun experience. Every portion of your flyer should convey that message.

The content of your flyer should be informative but not too wordy. You only need pertinent information, such as the service you are providing. Be a little specific in your title. Instead of just stating “Babysitting,” try “Babysitting Services.” Of course it’s important that you include your name, telephone number, and your desired babysitting hourly rate. You might list some of your experience, as well. If you have a lot of experience, just summarize your experience overall You don’t want it to come across as a resume. If you hold any certificates, such as the American Red Cross Babysitting Class, list them. You might also list how long you have been babysitting and what ages you work with. This is very important as you want to feel comfortable with the children you are working with. For instance, if you are not comfortable taking care of a baby under six months old, then list that you baby-sit children ages 6 months to ten-years-old, or whatever age limit you wish.

It’s okay to use graphics in a flyer as long as there aren’t too many and they are relevant. Try using graphics such as a box of crayons or toys. One or two graphics are probably enough. Now you have a flyer that is ready to get in the hands of potential customers.
