Education is a field that is constantly changing. It is not so much that the material is being constantly updated (although it is in many cases), the changes are often related to how children are being taught in school.

Most people who are in their forties or older would be surprised to see the differences between today’s classrooms and the ones they experienced as students when they were growing up. Currently, there is a strong push toward differentiating instruction in the classroom. To some, this will sound like just more confusing jargon to add to the list, but the basic ideas behind differentiation are not all that complicated. Basically, the idea is for teachers to take the learning style, ability level, and current level of achievement into account when designing lessons for the class. This means more planning time for teachers, but the end goal is for more students to gain the knowledge they will need to succeed in the world.

One strategy used in a differentiated approach is authentic assessment. When the word assessment is used, many people assume that this is some new way of administering a test to students. This type of assessment is actually an attempt to gain a better understanding and grasp of how well each student understands the material which has been presented to him or her. Approximately 57 percent of Pell Grant recipients have family incomes of less that 30,000 dollars per year.

To become eligible for the federal Pell Grant program, a student is required to be working towards an associates or bachelors degree. A student is ineligible if he or she already has a bachelor’s degree. The only exception is post-baccalaureate programs that result in teacher licensure. One of my friend was a real dumb person, how he passed each year I don’t know because he always used to do copy in the exams and till exam do time pass. One year one of our teacher introduced us the teacher stamps. We didn’t know about then before that and thought as another classic thing teacher use which doesn’t work. Our teacher used to put stamps on notebooks of students and one day my friend received a stamp saying “good work” I asked him how you got a “good work”? He said until now no body cared for him and his studies but after seeing every once notebook filled with some sort of good stamps and his resembling only bad stamps he was very disappointed and frustrated one day. Our teacher asked him to meet and talked about his situation and convinced him that he too can do better. And this is the result.

The story tell us how a teacher can change a persons life easily in his early days of life. These teachers stamps are nothing but th rubber stamps with something like “good work”, “excellent” written on it which teacher use to praise or punish students. After that day I always respected teachers and knew exactly why we celebrate the teachers day.
